Agents and MCP

Connect Claude, Codex, Cursor or any MCP client to numbers, and let it read your sites' visitors, pages, sources and events.

numbers has an MCP server at https://numbers.obelism.studio/mcp (Streamable HTTP). Its tools are the agent API: listOrganizations, listSpaces, getReport and listEvents. Everything reads; an agent changes nothing.

It signs in with OAuth: on first use the client opens numbers in the browser, you sign in with your Obelism account and allow the connection (scope numbers:read). There is no key to copy. The dashboard's Agents page has the address and the Claude Code command, what an agent may do, and the apps connected to numbers, which you can disconnect there or under Connected apps on your Obelism account.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user numbers https://numbers.obelism.studio/mcp

Then run /mcp in Claude Code, pick numbers and choose Authenticate.

Claude

Add https://numbers.obelism.studio/mcp as a custom connector, or install the Obelism plugin, which connects Improve and Content too.

Codex

codex mcp add numbers --url https://numbers.obelism.studio/mcp
codex mcp login numbers

Cursor and others

Add the server to the client's MCP config:

{
	"mcpServers": {
		"numbers": { "url": "https://numbers.obelism.studio/mcp" }
	}
}

What to ask

  • "How did last week's traffic compare to the week before?"
  • "Which pages lose the most visitors, and where do they come from?"
  • "Is the sign_up goal of my homepage test arriving?"

Scribes marked doubtful lines in the margin. That practice is called obelism.
